Our Mite Reaper Queens perform. These hardy and mite resistant queens will build into strong honey producing colonies. Our Mite Reapers are an ultra survivor stock that have naturally adapted to be varroa and disease resistant. We take this a step further in our selection process in which we perform liquid nitrogen hygienic testing as well as Harbo VSH assays. We are encouraged by the results and continue to work hard to improve this productive and mite resistant survivor stock.

Important Information, Please Read.

Our Reaper queens will be available on a 16 day cycle for 2023 and generally become available for purchase the last week of April. Check dates for availability. Our queens are first come first serve and can be picked up in Tomball tx. We also offer priority express shipping through the USPS. We are at the whim of mother nature and only produce queens when abundant drones and forage are available. It is our mission to only produce the very best queens we possibly can. Often, this means grafting later in the season and giving the queens more time laying before they are caged. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

Shipping Policy

You must select “priority express overnight” at checkout.

queen bees will be sent out through the USPS priority express overnight, and while shipping times vary, most arrive within 1 - 3 days. The queen shipment will be marked to be held at your post office, and they will send you an email at the email address that you specify to alert you to come and pick up your queen honeybees. Please remember, just because you haven't heard from them doesn't mean you shouldn't call them to verify if they are ready to be picked up

Please note: You need to pick up your queen bees on the day that the post office emails you, to ensure that your queens will all be alive. Spicy Fly Honey Bees is not responsible for any queens that do not survive because they are not picked up in time, or for any queens that are delivered to mailboxes at the customer's request to the post office.

Right after your queens ship out, usually mid - late afternoon, we will send a shipping confirmation to your email address that will contain your tracking number. Sometimes this email can end up in your spam folder, so please be sure to check there as well. It is every customer's responsibility to check on the shipping progress of their queens, so they can be ready when the bees arrive at the post office. If you haven't heard from the post office, and you think that the queens may be there, it is also your responsibility to call the post office to find out, or go in and see. Spicy Fly Honey Bees will not replace dead queens that have sat at the post office for several days or over the weekend. It is at our discretion to replace queens, based on what events took place.
